a new episode of MAKE A MIXTAPE, a podcast by zac little
this episode was recorded w/ friend of the pod tom -- a while ago. it was actually the first mixtape interview, before it was even a done deal that the podcast was changing over to this format more or less permanently. it was recorded a couple of days after i released an episode called "document drama/quarantine the past" and toward the end, we talk about it.

as of today, august 2nd, guardians of the galaxy volume 3 is on disney+ (at least in the usa), which seems like a great time to drop me and morgan's conversation about it from back when we'd both recently caught it in theaters. watch the movie, come back here, listen to our chat. or whatever, i mean, do what you want. it's a free country.
episode includes the following mashups/songs
"i'm always chasing rainbows" - alice cooper

Quick note on spoilers! While we do talk about a bunch of TV shows, movies, and books in this episode, nothing in particular is really spoiled about ANY of them — sensitivity to spoilers—and where Zac P. and I have fairly different and yet complimentary philosophies about them — in fact being a major topic of reflection here.
The only movie that I would say is significantly spoiled is The Fugitive, starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones, the 1993 film. And we don’t talk about that until the very end of the episode, so like, if its on your list on Max and you haven’t quite gotten to it — first of all I totally get it —just jump off the episode when you get there.

This episode features music made mostly just by plugging in a Roland JX-3P Polyphonic Synth (circa 1983) into a Kustom '36 Coupe amp, but also William Basinski's Disintegration Loop D|P 2.1, as well as "Ann Buchanan Theme" by Dean & Britta.
