Happy holidays! It's Christmas Eve, the perfect time to begin our discussion of Conor Oberst's discography, and a perfect excuse to start with 2002's A Christmas Album! It's a semi-official Bright Eyes recording and a collaboration between Oberst and Maria Taylor to benefit the Nebraska AIDS Project, which you can buy here:

If you be my Wendy, I'll be your Peter Pan--so come on Wendy, and come on, Spider-Man! It's time for the final (?) episode of ARE YE TALKIN' ARCADE FIRE IN MAY, in which Zac and Morgan argue incessantly over the messaging of Arcade Fire's preachy and beautiful new record, Everything Now. Along the way, we check in with Game Of Thrones (no spoilers!), Conor Oberst, Iron & Wine, St. Vincent, Grizzly Bear, and lots of other artists unrelated to the lads from Canada. Thanks so much to everyone who has supported this show and talked to us, and special thanks to our contest sponsor Delia! Anyway, do you like, uh, rock and roll music? If so, listen on!

Today's episode of the podcast covers a lot of ground: Led Zep or the lack thereof, noise, my grandfather's regrets regarding the non-contiguous U.S. States, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, illness, death, New York City in 2009, Jenny Lewis, my 30th birthday, and a lot more. I hope you like it. Thanks for listening.

I invited the musician Mackenzie Keefe to my house a few weeks ago to talk about his incredible new record, SUMO. We talked about his process and intentions, and also about a lot of other things, while Jory and Christy made pizza in the next room.

We make a lot of stops along the way! Listen to SUMO when you are done!

Today's episode features MARY AKEMON, RYAN LEWIS, DELIA ROJAS, CHELSEA FISHER, and RYAN O'CONNOR. It's about mechanisms of memory, and museums, and art vs. artifacts, and the dangers of nostalgia. Familiar topics to long-time listeners of the show! Hope you like it! Have a good day.

Today's episode is a gosh-darn metaphysical journey! It has been in the works for a long time, and I'm excited to share it with you today. It features a lot of people, but first and foremost I have to thank Willy Hassell, host of Spirit Radio, for all of his help. The boys are back to discuss Arcade Fire's double album REFLEKTOR, as well as to discuss the prospects of EVERYTHING NOW, Arcade Fire's recently-announced forthcoming record.

Zac is in full-on Honeymoon mode with everybody's favorite Indie Arena Rock Band, but Morgan has since soured on The Suburbs.

Along the way, they check in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, discuss San Fermin's "Belong," contemplate the whole concept of Gorillaz, worry about the futures of Death Cab for Cutie and Vampire Weekend, and go pretty deep into the Orpheus myth -- especially the part where he dies from getting fucked to death.

This episode is not sponsored by Blue Apron, Casper Mattresses, and Bonobos.

Thanks to Scott and Scott, as always.

Good morning!

Today's episode is a little bit of something old, a little bit of something new. We talk to TIFFANY PUZA, General Manager of Operations for BAD LAB BEER CO. Then, Zac and MAX WALLACE talk about the modern security state. Plus, in a re-edited re-broadcast of episode 7, "Spring Cleaning," we hear from PAUL NEAFCY and JON PERNISEK while Zac and DAN FREUND travel to the Republican Presidential Debate. All that time travel is a lot to handle, so at the end, present-day Zac talks a little bit about personality types and gender roles. This episode is sponsored by Audible. Just kidding. Read a real book, you jerks!

If you've ever wanted to recommend this show to a friend who couldn't figure out how to access podcasts, good news! I've started adding back episodes to YouTube. http://youtube.com/rockandsockandrobot is where you'll be able to find them.

Today we have a little interlude, as I work on finishing a few more, longer episodes.

Thanks for listening!

Today's episode features the voices of Michael Penney, Graham Combes, Don Perkins, and Christy Little. It features music from Morgan Little, Zac Little, and Christy Little

This episode is about beer, but you don't have to be a beer person to enjoy it. It could be about any other craft. And when I say craft, I am aware that some people use that as a distinction from "art." But I don't really think that is important here, or usually ever.

In today's episode, my 2016 resolution to only drink locally sends me on a mission to get to know my local beer scene a little better.

Today's episode features the voices of David Connerley Nahm, Russ Grazier, Christy Little, and David Murphy.

In today's episode, Zac moves a mattress.

Also, he talks to Russ Grazier about David Bowie's relationship to jazz, and to David Connerley Nahm about naming characters in novels and his time working with the band Sorry About Dresden.

Also, the whole thing is a prolonged exploration of the name David, and an awards ceremony for The Hall Of Davids, which is an award/psychic shrine to people named David all over the world.

Thanks to Russ, who is @rgrazier on twitter, and David Nahm, who is @DCNahm. David's novel, Ancient Oceans Of Central Kentucky, is on sale from Two Dollar Radio. Here's NPR's Review: http://www.npr.org/2014/08/20/339609587/the-depths-of-memory-and-pain-in-ancient-oceans

You can follow Christy at @christyelittle and David Murphy at @drmurphy29. Please be advised that he mostly livetweets Jeopardy.

Some of the music from this episode (and previous episodes) can be found at http://zacharylittle.bandcamp.com. If you buy it you can use it for whatever you want. It's a great way to funnel cash to this fledgling organization we call a podcast.

Today's episode features the voices of: MICHAEL STASIUK, RUSS GRAZIER, YAARA BEN DOR, and CHRISTY LITTLE.

It features music from the PMAC TEEN JAZZ ENSEMBLE.

Hi! Season three is finally starting! Thanks for sticking around. Today, we talk to the artist Michael Stasiuk in a conversation that was adapted from a talk he gave in December titled "Process & Inspiriation." We also talk to the director of the Portsmouth Music And Art Center, Russ Grazier, about what the school does and how he goes about arranging a jazz number. Finally, we talk to Yaara Ben Dor about her work as a Preservation Assistant and the strange way her work intersects with her past.

I'll be posting some relevant images on zaclittle.tumblr.com today, but here are some other links:
